How I made my first million from cryptocurrency
My experience with crypto has simply been crazy with many highs and lows. Today, I want to do a bit of reflection on my journey and tell you what I had to do to get to the point where I’m now.
You know how you complete a phase of your life and try to find your feet on what to do next even though you are not really sure of what you are and what you are doing, yea that was me in 2019. I had just graduated from uni and I knew I wanted to get busy.
Eventually, I stumbled on Crypto because, of course, I wanted to stay busy and didn’t want to be left behind. Besides what did I have to lose? I needed the knowledge and of course, to expand my wallet lol. So I’d say my hustling spirit landed me in Crypto. At first, it seemed alien to me. I didn’t understand it. I thought it was stocks or something and only limited to the US because not many people talked about it in Nigeria.
The features were so confusing and at some point, I thought that nah, this thing is not for me. But somehow, I was just curious and drawn to know more. So I went ahead, I did my research, watched YouTube videos, asked questions and I found the whole Crypto stuff really interesting. I also read some success stories about those who have already hit it big in the Industry and I thought to myself “This could be me too!”
It will interest you that even at my first investment, I didn’t even know what the hell I was doing. It was a crazy moment and being a newbie sucked because I had to do all the trials and errors before getting something right. It was almost as if I was playing with my money because I was unable to read the market. I was concerned about withdrawal costs, which prevented me from precisely accessing my profits — not that there were any anyways. For months, I don’t think I made any money.
Honestly, my first year wasn’t the smoothest. Trust me, I still had my confusions and doubts but I kept putting one foot forward, taking one step after the other. I was frustrated, but I took more notes and took time to track my profits and manage my portfolio in general. I was worn out
because I was continuously thinking about my portfolio.
Then I started getting a hang of everything and aside from just trading Crypto, I landed my first job in 2020 as an Influencer for a Crypto brand. I kept learning and I wasn’t too scared to explore because Crypto kept expanding and developing and if you didn’t keep your ears on the
ground and your eyes opened, you would be left behind.
All these paid off eventually. I made my first million ever with crypto in 2021! I won’t lie; I felt on top of the world lol! It felt like I had arrived. It was worth it. I am more settled with myself now and confident in my journey with Crypto.
A lot of things have gone down and I may have been close to crying blood at some point not gonna lie. But yeah, that’s a journey I’d be happy to take again.
I am not perfect. I still make losses, but now I don’t beat myself up about it; I simply pick up and learn from it. To me, there are no losses, just lessons.
